Expo in the ‘Grand Cafe‘ of Illustrations and comics, inspired by some old Dutch songs. Amongst the 12 participants were Michiel de Jong, Mars Gremmen, Theo van den Boogaard and Kees de Boer, who also had an amazing expo on the top floor about the new book he’s working on with Tjibbe Veldkamp, “de Verkipping“. I made an Illustration for the song “Picknick” by Boudewijn de Groot.

In Juli this Year Barbara Stok, Maaike Hartjes, Dominique Goblet, Sandra de Haan, Aimee de Jongh and I were interviewed and Photographed for ‘Esta‘ magazine. It was an hilarious day which resulted in 8 pages of unrecognizable girls. My whole interview turned out to be about my crazy brother, and the length of my legs is shocking! Should do this more often.

Hurray! In The upcoming Zone 5300, their 15 years anniversary issue(!!), I made an illustraton for an article about the French writer Boris Vian. He’s the weirdo that wrote “I will spit on Your Grave”. The article is written by Pieter van Oudheusden.

The new website of the educational tv program ‘Leesdas’ is finished! I had to restyle the characters, and en Jelle Gijsberts did a wonderfull job creating the backgrounds. There’s also a TV show of these characters, check it out!
